At Handdyed.dk, we strive to be as environmentally conscious as possible and aim to produce our hand-dyed yarn as sustainably as we can.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have installed solar panels that provide power to our workshop for dyeing, drying, and more. We typically hang out the dyed yarn for air drying, but there are times of the year when it\u2019s not possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have chosen to exclusively dye non-superwash treated yarn, and we dye with 100% natural materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Many of our yarns are organic, meaning the sheep are exclusively fed organic, non-GMO, and pesticide-free feed. You can find our organic yarns here:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our color recipes are designed in a way that the yarn absorbs all the dye. This means that the water is almost clear after dyeing, and therefore, in most cases, we can reuse the water for the next dyeing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
