This means that the fibres are not carded or combed into parallel alignment before spinning. Instead, they remain arranged in different directions, creating a yarn with countless tiny air pockets. This makes the yarn exceptionally lightweight while providing excellent insulation. Most of our other yarns are worsted spun, meaning the fibres are carded and combed before spinning so that they lie parallel to one another. This results in a smooth, even yarn with a more uniform appearance.    <\/p>\n<p>The yarn is soft, delicious and airy and can be used for clothing, accessories, blankets and much more.<\/p>\n<p>The wool is only washed prior to spinning and otherwise not further treated, which preserves the wool\u2019s fine properties (water and dirt repellent, self-cleaning, etc.).<\/p>\n<p>We recommend <a href=\"https:\/\/handdyed.dk\/en\/accessories\/knitting-needles\/\">knitting needles size 4 \u2013 6 mm<\/a> (we have a gauge of 18 stitches\/10 cm on needles size 5 mm)<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Product information:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Content: 100% merino.<\/li>\n<li>Weight: 100g.<\/li>\n<li>&#8216;yardage: 250 meter\/100g.<\/li>\n<li>Gauge: 16 &#8211; 20 stitches\/ 10 cm.<\/li>\n<li>Recommended knitting needles: 4 &#8211; 6 mm.<\/li>\n<li>Washing instructions: Hand wash in lukewarm water with wool soap.
