Our super soft hand-dyed Silk Mohair contains 72% kid mohair and 28% silk and has a yardage of 420 metres/50g.

Kid mohair is hair from the very first shearing of the mohair goat, which is the absolute finest and softest. The silk contributes shine and strength and it takes the color absolutely fantastically.

Silk Mohair is often held together with another yarn as a companion thread to create a fluffy and luxurious look. However, it can also easily be knitted on its own or held double.

Silk Mohair can be knitted on a wide range of needle sizes. For example, knit a sweater on 2.5 mm needles for a luxurious and delicate result, or create a light and airy lace shawl on 5 mm needles – the possibilities are endless.
