Chili Cardigan

Chili Cardigan is a lovely chunky cardigan with drop-down-shoulders. The cardigan is knitted in Fisherman’s rib, which makes it cosy and chunky, yet still light and incredibly soft. It is knitted top-down using 2 strands of Alpaca Cloud.

The back and front pieces are knitted in Fisherman’s rib, while the sleeves are knitted in regular rib.

First, the back is worked, beginning with short rows to shape the shoulders, then worked straight down to the bottom of the armhole. Then stitches are picked up for the front pieces, and short rows are worked to shape the shoulders. After that, increases for the neckline begin. When the bottom of the armhole is reached, the back and fronts are joined. The body is knit and finished with a ribbed hem. Stitches are picked up around the armhole for the sleeves. The sleeves are worked in the round in regular rib. Finally, an edging is knitted along the front edges and neckline.
