MERINO PUFF

Merino Puff is the big sister of our Alpaca Puff, as it is a slightly thicker hand-dyed blow yarn. The yarn is chunky, light and airy, as well as super soft.
Merino Puff consists of 70% pima cotton and 30% fine merino wool and has a yardage of 200 metres/100g.

A blow yarn is a yarn that is not spun in the traditional way. Instead, fibers are blown into a hollow structure – in this case, a fine pima cotton mesh filled with soft merino fibers.
This construction creates a yarn that feels light, soft and voluminous, while shedding very little.
Because the fibers are not tightly spun, the yarn has a soft halo and a fluffier character, while the outer structure provides excellent stability.
The yarn is therefore soft, lightweight and incredibly comfortable to wear, as well as being very easy to knit with.

As the cotton mesh does not absorb the dye to the same extent as the merino fibers, the colors develop a beautifully unique, multicolored effect.

Merino Puff is a versatile yarn that can be used to knit everything from sweaters and hats to mittens, scarves and much more.
We knit Merino Puff on needles 6 – 8 mm – for example, we achieve a gauge of 14 stitches per 10 cm on 7 mm needles.
