Sanne Cardigan

Sanne Cardigan is a beautiful cardigan knitted top down with raglan increases. It features v-neck, double-knitted front band and elegant short puff sleeves with a small picot edge. The cardigan is knitted in Handdyed Organic Merino 400 and Handdyed Silk Mohair.

The cardigan is worked back and forth with raglan increases and increases to shape the neckline and the sleeve puff at the shoulders. Once all increases have been completed, the work is divided into body and sleeves. The sleeve stitches are placed on a stitch holder, and the fronts and back are joined while stitches are cast on for the underarms. The body is then worked in one piece and finished with a twisted rib edge. The sleeves are worked in the round with decreases along the underside of the sleeves and a reduction in stitch count before a delicate picot edge is knitted. Finally, stitches are picked up along the front edges and neckline, where double-knitted front band is worked.

Buttons: 5 buttons ø 22 mm. – we used beautiful glass buttons from FineDetail.dk

Gauge: 20 stitches x 30 rows in stockinette = 10 x 10 cm (with 2 strands held together – 1 of each)

Recommended needles: Circular needle 4,5 mm (or the size needed to obtain gauge) + Circular needle 3,5 mm for edges + Circular needle 3,25 mm for front band.
